Our COVID-19 measures
We look forward to welcoming you to Asterias this summer.
We’d like to reassure our guests that we are taking the following precautions (recommended by the Greek government) to make your stay as safe as possible:
Check-in
Please check-in at the open window of the hotel office
Please provide proof of your name, address and contact details
Hand sanitiser will be provided at check-in
Check-in time will be from 15:00 to allow our staff to clean and disinfect rooms
Check-out time will be 11:00
You will be given this list of protocols at check-in
Our staff will not handle your luggage
Cleaning of rooms
Hotel staff will not enter your room during the period of your stay
There will be no daily cleaning of your room or changing of linen and towels
Between guests all rooms will be cleaned with anti-bacterial products and thoroughly aired for at least 3 hours
Curtains, throws and mattresses in rooms to be steam-cleaned between stays
All linens to be washed at the highest possible temperature with disinfectant between stays
Our staff will use PPE (personal protection equipment) when cleaning rooms between stays (gloves, face mask & apron) and change PPE between rooms
All cutlery and crockery will be cleaned in the dishwasher at high temperature between stays
Room keys will be disinfected between stays
Special precautions we’ve taken
Our staff have attended training focused on reducing the transmission of COVID-19 and noticing symptoms
Decorative objects, leaflets, games and books have been removed from the rooms
Our kitchen equipment has been reduced - but if you need anything just ask at reception
Hotel beach toys and library have been removed
Hotel staff will practise frequent hand-washing and have their temperature taken daily
Hand sanitiser will be provided in all bathrooms
Things you can do
Please don’t bring external guests to visit you at the hotel
Please don’t leave luggage in the public spaces of the hotel
Please bring your own rubbish to the bin area
Please ask at reception if you need fresh linen, towels or toilet paper
Please maintain a 1 metre distance from guests outside your party, and the hotel staff
If you need to cancel your trip
Obviously we want you to enjoy your holiday in Leros - but we understand if you need to cancel because of International Travel Restrictions.
We will refund your deposit or pre-payment if there are travel restrictions in operation between your country of origin and Greece at the time of your holiday.
We are also happy to reschedule your booking until later in the season, or into the next season, as permitted by our availability. Please be aware that there may be a difference in price due to a change of booking. If you move your booking to next year we’re happy to honour this year’s prices.
If International Travel Restrictions are not preventing your journey then the normal cancellation terms apply.
Please let us know as soon as you’re considering changing your plans - if we can help we’re more than happy to.
